My name is LINDSY and I am 21 years of age…

I was born in New Jersey and currently go to University of the Arts in Philadelphia and model for Wilhelmina!

I got into modeling by working hard. I was scouted when I was 14 by a Wilhelmina scout at an old navy in NJ. I missed the audition date because I was extrememly involved with dance at the time and my parents weren’t sure about modeling at the time. I went to a “polishing” school because I knew someone who owned it and there I learned how to walk the runway and apply make-up, but it’s wasn’t really until college when I danced on a professional dance team in Reading, PA and modeled for their swimsuit calendar that I really began to model. I have worked with a great amount of talented people from modeling sites online and built my portfolio. It took some time, but it was worth it all the way, and well, here I am!

Modeling is important for me because it’s passionate and expressive. It has taught me a lot about who I am and where I want to be going with my life. As a model you experience so many wonderful opportunities, it’s the best job.

What I love most about being a model is meeting so many artistic people!! It’s amazing what clothing designers, hair stylists and make-up artists can do! I get to be their muse and wear their brilliant art nothing horrible about that at all 🙂

What I like least about being a model is nothing. I have never done a job I don’t like. Otherwise I couldn’t do it and I have always told myself if I’m doing this for me, it will always be something I love, because otherwise I’ll regret it and I can’t live with regret.

My favorite modeling experience (I’m sure I will be experiencing many many more favorites with Wilhelmina) was one that I always remember is when I was a winner of a fashion show and they flew my mom and I to LA for a weekend and I got a 2-hour spa treatment at the Beverly Hills Spa and a limo ride everywhere I went. Not only was it a great experience for me but it openned A LOT of doors for me and I got to share it with my mom!

My goal as a model would be to …touch people’s hearts with art and the world of fashion, make lots of money to pay my parents back for school, travel the world, meet everyone I possibly can and most importantly, inspire everyone I can to follow their dreams and once I do that I will have succeeded!

My favorite picture in my book right now is between my body art shot on pointe shoes and my newest headshot from Wilhelmina because the body art is something no one has seen me do before and shocks everyone who sees it (and b/c the shooting part was easy, but standing while I was being painted was killer! i will never forget it haha) and my headshot because the colors and emotion from it, I think, are really inspiring and captures who I am perfectly.

My parents support me modeling because I think they know how passionate I am about it and how much I have wanted it for so long that they are happy to see me happy. That’s why they’re the best 🙂 They have always supported me in any decision I have ever made. It feels good to know they are behind me.
