G by GUESS Presents the Ultimate Remix

G by GUESS, the latest brand extension from denim pioneer GUESS? Inc, celebrates the brand and its growth, by announcing Ultimate Remix featuring music by DJ Samantha Ronson and local DJ Troy Kurtz along with special guest emcee, DJ Irie. The Ultimate Remix event will be held at the Ramblas Plaza Stage at the Dolphin Mall in Miami, Florida on November 13, 2009 from 8:30 PM – 11:30 PM. While listening to music from some of the greatest and most renowned DJs, guests will also enjoy complimentary beverages from Rockstar, one of the worlds leading energy drinks, sure to give party goers that extra boost of energy keeping them on the dance floor all night.

G by GUESS is a youthful and fresh line of clothing designed for the next generation of young, hip, fashionable women and men. The brand, launched in 2007, features a complete collection of vintage Californian inspired clothing, along with a full line of stylish accessories including footwear, handbags, watches, jewelry, eyewear, scarves, and belts. There are currently 43 stores in the United States with plans of expansion in the future.

G by GUESS is excited to have world renowned DJ Samantha Ronson headlining the first of many Ultimate Remix events.  Samantha Ronson has become a key player in the music industry, which is only natural considering her childhood was surrounded by music. Her brother, Mark Ronson, is a superstar DJ and producer, and her mother was married to Mick Jones, of the hit band Foreigner. Samantha taught herself to sing and play music and ultimately put her words into the music she composed. She started DJing at a club she often frequented and eventually began filling in for her brother at New York City hotspots while he worked on his album. After garnering attention from industry insiders at her club gigs, Samantha began receiving requests to DJ at high profile events including The American Music Awards, MTV’s Video Music Awards, as well as parties for ElleGirl, Maxim, Blender, and the Superbowl.  Samantha Ronson has become one of the most sought after and well known DJs throughout the world.

DJ Irie has taken the music industry by storm, particularly in Miami. He’s come a long way since his boarding school days in Jamaica when he and his roommate Sean Paul (now Grammy Award winning reggae musician) were experimenting with makeshift beat machines made from Sean’s walkman and speakers. DJ Irie’s talent and energy transcended him to a national level, and he has become the official DJ to Jamie Foxx and the Miami Heat Basketball team. With performances at MTV’s Total Request Live, Nickelodeon’s Teen Choice Awards, and the halftime show at the Orange Bowl, DJ Irie has set himself apart from others through his love for music and enthusiasm for the industry.

DJ Troy Kurtz is one of Miami’s most exciting and dynamic new stars. Since graduating from his residency at Heathrow to man the turn tables at The Viceroy’s Club 50, the latest hotspot at one of Miami’s most luxurious hotels, he’s captivated the local dance scene with his unique sound. Mixing cutting-edge music with classic dance floor hits DJ Troy Kurtz has the ability to get club goers on the dance floor and stay there all night.
