Andy & Debb bring the Butterfly theme into their Fall Collection!

The Korean husband-and-wife duo of Andy & Debb – Andy Kim and Debbie Yoon – unveiled their Fall Collection 2009 for the second time at the Bryant Park Tents. Inspired by a photograph of a butterfly, the designers built their collection around the intricate shapes and patterns of the butterfly’s wings.

After commissioning an artist to enlarge and re-create the image, the silk-screened design became the basis for the many of the looks. The butterfly motif also took on a literal interpretation with wing-shaped details popping up on everything from an angora coat the the bustier of a silk jumpsuit. All the models wore patent-leather oxford booties or patent-leather pumps.
