Tivoli Gardens: a Green Oasis in Copenhagen
Tivoli Gardens are Copenhagen’s green oasis and much more than just an amusement park. Tivoli has worked conscientiously since 1996 to improve the environment: solar panels on top of The Camel Trail recharge the park’s maintenance vehicles; LED bulbs have replaced incandescent light bulbs in many of the attractions; the brake energy from one arm of Vertigo (Northern Europe’s wildest interactive ride) is recycled to power the other arm. Tivoli buys electricity from wind turbines and all hot and cold take-away beverages are sold in recyclable cups. Available video includes views of the amusement park and soundbites
