The Commonwealth Heads of Governments Meeting to Kick Off on November 27 in Trinidad & Tobago
The Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) will be hosted in the city of Port of Spain in the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago on November 27-29, 2009. CHOGM is the supreme body of the Commonwealth and it is convened every two years to review global, political and economic developments and to conduct a strategic overview of the Commonwealth’s work in support of the interests of member countries. Parallel to CHOGM, the following events involving young people, civil society and the business community, are taking place in Trinidad and Tobago: the Youth Forum (November 21-28), the People’s Forum (November 22-26) and the Business Forum (November 23-26). Available video includes general views of Trinidad, the meetings’ venues and the arrival of the Secretary General, Kamalesh Sharma.v
