A Lebanese Man In New York.

After years working in haute couture in Paris, Lebanese designer Georges Chakra has debuted his ready-to-wear line in New York and his Fall Collection is in the shops now.

His first showing last season at Bryant Park during Mercedes Benz Fashion Week was a success. A glamorous collection of cocktail attire was shown with a splendid mix of textures, colors and detail especially carefully created bows on the garment were displayed as the models strutted on the runway.

Highlights of the show were puffy skirts, low backs, huge blossoms on skirts, a short navy blue dress and laser cut mini dresses that were designed in classic detail. Chakra’s skin-tight, glossy dresses in futuristic colors range from red to jet black, silver to hot pink.

Big friend of celebrities he dressed the British actress Helen Mirren at the Oscars awards last year, and others as Jennifer Love Hewitt and stylist Phillip Block came out to show support. Standing ovation for this spectacle mister Chakra!
